The Natural Death Centre

The Natural Death Centre give support on family-organised and environmentally-friendly funerals.

Since their inception in 1991, the Natural Death Centre has sought to inform, empower and inspire the public in all matters relating to death and dying, and in particular, to increase awareness of funeral choices outside of the mainstream.

A social entrepreneurial, educational charity that gives advice on all aspects of dying, bereavement and consumer rights in this area, the Natural Death Centre have helped create the expanding network of woodland burial sites.

They run the Association of Natural Burial Grounds which has set a standard for the profession, protecting the consumer as well as representing the operators of such sites on a national strategic level.  Although green, they promote choice and education not just environmental issues.

More information about the Natural Death Centre, their handbook, A 'Living Will', newsletters and events can be found on their website - http://www.naturaldeath.org.uk/
